SouthernBorn I'm going to tell you a story (and a real one, because it's about a really nice guy (who may be like you).

Many years ago when I was in college and living in a crappy house with about 20 guys. It was a hell hole frankly but I also had a great time when I was there.

One guy's room had a window that opened onto the roof. We used to go out there and hang out.

One afternoon there were about 5-7 guys out there (and a cooler, natch) and we got this wild idea when we realized that if we laid down that the people walking by on the sidewalk couldn't see us (it was very close to campus so lots of traffic all of the time).

So, we would wait until a woman would walk by (she couldn't see that there were people on the roof) and then we would all sit up and clap (as in "there's a hot woman"). We did that for EVERYONE. No whistling or anything aggressive, just a nice clapping. EVERYONE smiled and laughed a bit. Yes, the super attractive women laughed too (but less so) but mostly those less likely to get an applause in real life really genuinely enjoyed it. It cost us nothing. Everyone felt so freaking good. It was a sunny day in spring and I still feel good about that day.

Here's where you come in. One guy joined us after this was going on. He came up on the roof. Very nice guy. He came up and wanted us to change and basically boo every woman and call her a pig. Seriously.

The good news is that we all looked at him and said "you are out of your mind dude". He was disgusted and went inside. we continued to make people happy and make them smile. It was a fantastic day.

Many many years later I still remember that day. We just made people feel good.

My point to you is this: the guy who wanted to make everyone feel like s**t was a good guy. He was a really decent guy. I don't know what made him want to do that. I will give you the benefit of the doubt. You may be a really decent guy but for some reason you want to come here and make people feel crappy.

Try the opposite. No women end up on this site because their lives are easy. All face tough choices and from my experience they could use a break. Choose to give them one. Choose to make them feel good because chances are their lives are not that easy.

It will make you feel better, I assure you. And it will make them feel a bit better too. We could all use a little of that, and it costs absolutely nothing. That's the beauty of it all. Being nice is free.

Ok, I'm beat. I've had a really long week and even though it's 830 on a Friday I'm about ready to call it a night.

Night all.

Damn, Hatty,

That is one fine story. I feel kind of all warm and fuzzy inside.

Do you have any more stories?

Thank you for sharing.
