Definitely looking forward to the fun. And I've got a sweet surprise for the guys, if Theresa and Sarge go along with it.....

And just a reminder that monthly happy hours (and other events on occasion) happen in Austin, of course, and folks from area around or elsewhere are always welcome to attend once properly vouched.

Sarge and I back when had great hopes for periodic evvents to be held in B/CS and Temple, and I suspect the support still exists, but absent a ground swell movement (not an earthquake) to get anything re-started, gonna be tough.

My suggestion to those in distant places wanting to find out more about how much (and work!) events can be is to be invited into an Austin event (there's a happy hour tonight, btw) to see how they work and how they interact. I'm willing to counsel folks attempting to start up an event or two.

Many folks just simply do not understand the functionality (and legality -- and risk, of course) in organizing what are simply meet and greets. Check the link in my signature to event rules so you can have a better idea of what's involved.

My hat is off to CK! I see from your siggy that our Poke Her is in competition with Austin's M&G tonight. I do apologize, sir.

Ladies and Gents, if you are not attending the Poke Her tourney and want to see what an Austin M&G is like, please PM CK1942.

I have attended over a dozen events hosted by CK in Austin, and they are always well attended and a lot of fun! (the afterparties are off the chain)

One of the advantages for you guys, is that you will meet ladies you would not normally meet, and many of them will use your meeting there as a screening/vouching event for you..

Gents, if you have not already on his list, you will have to be screened, which means a vouch from a lady.... details are found in his link.

CK has done a great job in organizing events all over the great state and was key to kicking off what became our Killeen socials.
