I remember a time sitting in a hotel lobby chatting with a provider and getting a kick out of her pointing out other providers and clients just by their mannerisms and dress. We got a chuckle out of counting the number of guys we saw carrying white envelopes as they entered the hotel. Originally Posted by KCQuestor

Questor's post came up as both of us know folks that work hotels. Seeing EEs post was the icing on the cake.
Thus, double rofl.
For EE: It's not just guys that request hotel envelopes.
For Q: When hotel staff are bored, yes the lobby is entertainment. And staff are known to bet on how long visitors stay upstairs. There's also bets on which of the drunk wedding reception guests will win the elevator races, and if really bored, staff will call friends in another hotel and make bets on which hotel has more hobby folks in that night. And yes hotel folks have seen it all. Why else does the doughnut squad try lean on hotel staff for data. Anyway, thank you EE and Q cause these two posts gave us a nice long case of tossing old hotel stories at each other.
