From a providers point of view. I appreciate both. I've had some beyond amazing guys absolutely shock me with their generosity and I was in no way "creeped" out. Many are good friends. Genuine friends. I love talking before n after. Just like in other jobs, you can keep business n friendship seperate.

I have never given a gift and very rarely tip. A couple times I have been pressured to give a tip and have caved. I set a limit for myself on how much I can justify spending on this stuff. Could I spend more sure, can I justify it no.

So its simple for me. If I like seeing a provider then she will make alot of money off me in the future because I usually only see one provider until things go south. So no need for a tip. If I don't like her no need to tip. And iI will be damned if I go over my budget and not be able to hobby as much as i want because I am giving out tips.

The whinging and complaining starts when the victim who foolishly gives unnecessary gifts or tips starts to feel entitled and starts stalking, harassing, or worse, when the hook finds someone else who is even looser with his money than the dumb, original victim is with his.

This happens all the time. I've sat there and listened to hooks mock the suckers who take this for more than it is, on numerous occasions. I've also listened to them complain about being deluged by phone calls, emails, and text messages, when it finally dawns on the victim that he has been milked silly by a semi-pro hook.

I like being given shit that I have done nothing to earn as well. It's awesomeness.

I see your point, NBT. When someone expects something extra bc of a gift then issues arise.I've been so lucky to say I've truly met wonderful ppl so far who would never behave like that. I think some girls might lead guys on to believe untrue things to encourage more gifts but then get upset when the guy starts to believe it's more than business. I don't encounter those situations bc if I felt accepting something would lead someone on then I'd politely decline and explain the nature of our relationship. I see both sides, but it's completely possible to build friendships in this field that don't cross boundaries (I'll also admit some men can't handle it n assume bc you're more friendly than other providers that it must mean you're interested. I cut those ppl off. I refuse to become "hardened" bc a few ppl act like children)
