Hey Val!
After numerous requests, this is my 1st time touring Chicago.
I'd be lying if I said I wasn't a little apprehensive. I've heard good and bad things.
Any advice? I'm flying into O'hare.
Nice area to stay?(I always use Priceline), Advertising? etc.

Chicago has always been good to me...Best places to advertise- TER, TBD & Eros.....Most hotels in Chicago require keycard access to use the elevators, so be sure and call around to check about that before booking something!...STaying downtown is good, as there's a lot to do in your downtime!

The only downside about using Priceline is not knowing where you'll be staying until after you've paid. I do always request 3 or 4 stars. I like hotels that have a lot of traffic so clients blend in.
Do hotels downtown have airport shuttles or will i be cabbing it?

Speaking of cabs, this idiot cab driver here in NY attempted to charge me $48 for what should have been an 8 mile trip! He was just talking to me and I realized it was taking longer than it should have. I looked up the trip on my iphone and asked what road we were on? He said he was taking me a different way because some roads had snow on them and he didn't want to be slidding across the road. I'm like hello! You live here? You don't know how to drive in snow!? WTF!
I get to the hotel and pay him $30, which I still thought was a bit much! He starts telling me how he pays $5000 a year for insurance and the price of gas, blah blah blah
I tell him not my problem, you tried to hustle me because you figured, I'm from out of town and I wouldn't know any better. Fail! lol
