Are You Ready For Some Football ?

That's an easy answer, NOBODY. His salary is too big for his age and his skills, he would have to accept a pay cut to be traded. The theory that he would be a good back up QB is hogwash because no team wants to pay a back up QB $18 million a year, that money is much better spend on other position player that can actually stay on the field. Dec 1st is a Thursday, one week after TurkeyDay. Vikings and the Boys play on Thursday Night Football. Then both teams get the customery 10 day post-TurkeyDay break. Originally Posted by Papa Noel

That part of the schedule will be a Serious Test for both Dallas & Minnesota...3 games in the span of 12 days can take its toll. Defensive depth will be key (as anyone would attest, it takes so much more energy to play defense than offense. Either / both teams could be a tad gimpy by their Dec 1st contest).

During that stretch, more than the play of Prescott (or Romo, should the change be made) the Cowboys power running game will be the difference maker. Looking ahead, I wonder if Alfred Morris will be counted on even moreso to take some of the load off Zeke (or if Darren McFadden will be active & dressed so as to launch a 3-headed RB attack)?

the Cowboys should have an advantage during that tight stretch.. Morris and Romo are a small step down from Elliott and Prescott, let those guys rest a little.
Been streaming The WIP (Sports Talk-Philadelphia) most of this week....lol, I gotta tell ya, folks, that lot up there is border line insane...

Iggle fans make no bones about it and are very vocal about their feelings....they absolutely HATE the Dallas Cowboys and their fans with every fiber in their being. Quite honestly, I don't know if there's a rivalry in football that even compares; albeit the feelings somewhat one-sided IMO (I've been told by those who would know, the blood feud between Bama and Auburn is even moreso....possible I suppose; I just don't know enough to comment or compare).

No doubt about it, Philly's defense and special teams have delivered (victories vs decent teams; ie Pittsburgh and Minnesota).....yet they've faltered against questionable talent in Detroit and Washington. At 4-2, they're still a bit of an enigma.

Make no mistake though....their young QB, rookie Carson Wentz, is making a difference on the field. Nonetheless, he's cooled off as of the last two weeks and it's been their D/ST's that have kept them in games.

The Cowboys have a huge challenge facing them....the Iggles have fared well at AT&T and have brought great emotion & intensity when visiting Dallas.

That said, Dallas will need to be prepared mentally / physically to weather that initial firestorm; Philly will be jacked up from the start.

If Zeke and his fine O-line can continue doing what they've been doing during this five game win streak, that emotion from the Iggles isn't going to be enough. The success of the running game in turn keeps the heat off Dak. I've no doubt the Iggles will want to test him early and blitz often if they can control Zeke.

I'm not ready to make a prediction on this one but I do feel Dallas can and will eventually wear the Iggle defense down by moving the sticks as they've been so good at this season. Still, it may come down to the leg of Dan Bailey in the end.....stay tuned.

Do you remember the movies North Philly Forty and Debbie Does Philly? NO , because there wasn't any.

And Iggle fans despised the Cowboys for "running up the score" during this period. And many (all) have never forgotten.

Since 1979, the rivalry has actually balanced out (Dallas holding a 40-37 edge). All-time record, btw, Dallas leads 64-50.

The fact Dallas is called America's Team steams most Iggle fans, to be sure.

But the biggest bur under their saddle is the fact Dallas owns 5 Lombardis....and they've yet to put the shine on a single one.

Cowboys didn't play their best tonight.. but damn it if they didn't step it up when they had to.. Dak was spotty for 3 quarters, but I think he proved he still deserves the starting job.
That's SIX in a row now, ladies & gentlemen. So....onto the Cleveland next weekend. And then Pittsburgh the following week.

Things are looking up for Cowboy Nation these days. Momentum is a big thing, ya know. Players (like fans) start believing great things are possible if you just keep doing what's working.

Stay tuned.......

When the going gets tough, the tough gets going...Dak Prescott is a tough mother fucker and has a good head on his shoulders...His ability to keep his eyes downfield, doesn't lock in on one receiver and rebound from a big mistake (interception in the end zone) is impressive for a Rookie...The young man will be the Star here for 10 years or longer even if they put Tony back in, Dak is ahead of the game with the good head on his shoulders and lack of ego...Tony is a tough son-of-a-bitch too and has been playing the best football of career the last 2 years. Why? Because Jerry finally wised up and realized what made the early 90's Cowboys great - A dominant offensive line!!! But Tony can't stay on the field, so Dak just needs to stay humble and let Tony do his best finishing his career and not allow a quarterback, second guessing controversy that would divide a locker room...That was the best defense the Cowboys, no matter who's behind center, will see all year, and we have to play them once more at their place, but Dallas' division lead by then will be too big to overcome...Dak is impressive, the job will be his for many years to come, no matter what happens with Tony...Stay classy Dak and be patient, there simply isn't a difference between you and Tony for him (Tony) to be benched. You (Dak) are coming in to a team Tony Romo needed at the beginning of his career but had to wait over 7 years to get. That's when we finally started seeing the true Tony Romo (2014)...Stay true to yourself Dak, keep being you, an intelligent, team first young man with good players around him.

Take those two final drives of the night, both ending with Prescott TD passes (ie: late 4th Q, 11 plays 90 yds & in O.T. 12 plays 75 yds). Those two drives became the Dak and Zeke Show. The things that the Eagles defense had done all night long to Dallas (and Dak in particular) were suddenly ineffective. The Cowboys offense took control when it was most needed.

Play after play, Dallas inflicted its will on the Philadelphia defense. Pretty impressive to go back-to-back possessions, 23 plays, 165 yards, 2 TD's, hmm?

Looking ahead, Cleveland will be a challenge simply because it's difficult for a team to get up for a winless squad....especially on the heels of a dramatic victory vs a divisional foe. Garrett will need to convince them this can be a trap game.

The Browns are a league worst (32nd) in Time of Possession at home (26:53). Dallas is second in the league (best) in TOP, 33:02. Not surprising, the Browns are ranked last also in total defense and 31st in stopping the run.

And that's what Dallas does best....#1 running team (165.0 ypg). My guess is Zeke is in for a big day.

Did anybody noticed what appeared to be a black dildo thown in the end zone after a touchdown at last night's game? I know it happened not too long ago.
I have never been a Cowboy fan, but this team excites me every time they play. Zak has been a very pleasant surprise..
