So I like to make my trademark in a new city and eat somewhere I havent eaten before. I don't like to go to chains (el chico, chilies, ect) the locals usually know the BEST places to eat. I LOOOOVVVEEEE mexican food... considering that I am half Mexican :-) Take your best shot. Im in need of good food.
My friend keeps telling me Chachos ( she LOOOVVVEESSSS it, but I would rather hear from the people who live here) Originally Posted by justice4fun

Newly opened Casa Granda on 1604 at Stone Oak is muy bueno. Not Tex-mex. More like Mexico City-Mex

Casa Grande has been getting good comments, but I haven't been there myself.

Guajillo's on Blanco @ 410, Rosarios, El Mirador, Acenar - and then a ton of little hole in the wall places. I wouldn't go to, or suggest Mi Tierra, Los Barrios, La Fogata, or several other "famous" places, the food isn't good IMHO.

It also depends on what kind of "Mexican" you're looking for.

Hardly go there anymore, but Brown's Mexican Food on S. Hackberry is delish! Lots of professionals from downtown eat there for lunch.
Newer place - turn right off 281 North @ Evans and drive just past Arby's. It is in little plaza on the left.
