Starry, the Tea Party did not come up with the birth certificate debate. It was started by a guy named Philip Berg who was working for Hillary Clinton back in 2008. Try to get your attacks right.

I was just saying I think it would be a good strategy to produce the birth certificate. I don't care if he does or not. It might not be a good strategy. It's been years since I managed a successful campaign for President, so I could be wrong.

Not the same thing, anyway. There was less evidence back then and more doubt. Today there is a ton of evidence and no doubt. Three years of everyone and their brother going over every little item with a fine tooth comb makes a difference.

I did not say the birther movement originated with the tea party. That's irrelevant. Regardless of who started the "debate" the current birthers have sure picked it up and cling to it, don't they?

However, after thinking about it, I probably shouldn't have used the term tea baggers in that context. Not all tea baggers are nutty and want to be associated with the birther "debate."

A better phrase would have probably been:

Do you really think the nutty birthers are going to just change their minds if Obama went out of his way and produced a birth certificate?

I think they would not. They would formulate another conspiracy theory to explain it away.

LOL

Fair enough! It's been a while for me also.
