Movies (Warning, Spoilers Guaranteed)

I enjoyed "Upgrade" last night. Good movie. "The First Purge" wasn't bad either.

Looking for some good horrors to watch, though "Upgrade" was really much more of a Sci-Fi flick. Originally Posted by SpankyJ

There's a pretty good selection of horror flicks on streaming services, given the season. I've heard great things about Hereditary and Halloween. While not a movie, The Haunting of Hill House is pretty good so far.
Anyone been to the new theatre by the outlet mall? Is the food any good?
Watched Venom recently, and despite the not-so-favorable critic reviews, it's pretty enjoyable. Tom Hardy is a much better casting choice than Topher Grace, and the symbiote itself is much more monstrous. I also really enjoyed the interaction between Eddie Brock and Venom. It had its flaws though; the love story was unnecessary and the human villain was forgettable.

The trailer for the upcoming remake/re-imagining of Pet Sematary:

Gonna have to see if I can find the 1989 version to hold me over till April.
I have. Food is pricey for what you get. Typical bar type food. It’s ok. Nothing special, certainly not worth what they charge, but I guess they have to do something to keep the doors open.
Is Hereditary any good? I watched the trailer on Vudu and it seems like they completely telegraphed a big part of the story, unless it's a red herring.

If you're looking for something a little off the wall, there's a movie on Netflix called Errementari: The Devil and the Blacksmith that I recommend. A little Faustian tale set in Spain in the 19th century. Be forewarned, it's an English dub of a Spanish-language film, and some of the dubbed voices are a little over the top.

Sometimes bad dubs are a great source of entertainment. I once found a bunch of Russian-dubbed episodes of MASH; hearing the same two or three actors try to do different voices for each member of the 4077 had me howling with laughter.
