Walmart created their own "public relations" nightmare by summarily firing employees without telling them until they showed up for work the next day!

If that is actually what happened (meaning Walmart was unable to communicate with some of the employees who were scheduled the last day or had electronic communication available).

I'm familiar with one of the Sam's stores closed and it's got to be the newest one in the Houston area ... and in a area devastated by Harvey. Originally Posted by LexusLover

The 2 dollar a week added is going to let the Walmart employees buy that 1 million house WOW, JUST WOW - And the Libertarts believe this shit ( if they only had a brain)

I cannot figure out why they kept the Mesquite, TX shithole open. It does not even sell alcohol.

When Sam's first opened in S.A. the hype was college education assistance and decent working conditions. When one went in the atmosphere was upbeat and friendly. Not any more. Cosco started expanding out and crowding a but, but they are higher priced.

Sam's stores are not all the same. Vary in personnel and products.

I ask, because Mesquite is only partly "wet" and there are restrictions on sales in other parts that are considered "wet." That may explain why the Sam's doesn't sell "alcohol"!
