My grandmother was brought to the states as a child and she never became a citizen. She too was threatened with deportation. White as a sheet, not all foreigners are Hispanic.

All I have to do is walk into my local Walmart in order to see people who would make fine U.S. citizens if they were given a chance. Some have been clients.

A well known local roofing company in my area sends Caucasian men around to recruit business. The roof is then placed by all obvious illegal hands. Local business gets to claim tax shelter status and does not give two fucks.

I don't know this unfortunate lady at all. But I do know another young lady--18 years old, and the daughter of a very good friend. She was murdered and the president, the attorney general, the DEA, and DHS all used her photo and name in their political speeches. They used her as a literal poster child to support their war on opioids and immigration.

Did they have the decency to talk to the mother first? NO.

Did they offer any condolences to the family? NO.

When the mother tried to get basic information about the case, or get her daughter's possessions back after the trial, did they help at all? NO.

When she tried to talk with some of these high ranking folks AFTER they used her daughter as a prop, when she tried to correct wrong "facts" that they used about the dead girl, when she repeatedly tried to just talk and get questions answered about the legal process, did any of them even acknowledge her e-mails or calls, or visits to their offices? No. No. NO.

Of course this is only politics to them. There is no actual caring, no compassion, no concern for truth. They spin "facts" into lies to support the message they want. They make victims into criminals if it fits their agenda.

The worst example was when I went to one of the offices of a very senior person to try and get them to at least get the girl's last name right, and to acknowledge that she was trying to talk with them. The admin's only question? "Does she support the president's position?" When I said she is living on the margins, trying to get through her grief, and is apolitical, I was told, "I'm sorry, his schedule is very busy. I don't think he has time to talk with you or her."

If anyone thinks most these people see you as anything more than a vote to be lied to, you are wrong.

Kind of shows the true colors of trump supporters. Very racist if you ask me.
