Actually, the OP has this backward at least in the context of citing the above cults because of the "leaders" of these cults . Should have listed great spiritual leaders who taught about sexuality like Buddah and Lao-Tzu who was a Chinese philosopher credited with founding the philosophical system of Taoism.
OP, what is your definition of spirituality?... defining words and concepts for mutual understanding is vital. Originally Posted by Mr_MachiavelliWell, I consider myself a spiritual person ... not religious.
It's difficult for me to go to a Christian Church because in the end ... it makes me feel guilty about what I love the most. Having an incredible sexual experience with those whom I connect with.
My sexuality is more profound than the majority of the population, as is I would think most all providers on this board.
The majority of the civilian world try to stick to the dogma beliefs which condemn sex unless it is committed to one partner. THAT idea is not me.
If you have a spiritual connection with someone, which is the most common universal experience then the sex will be off the charts.
Many of us lack knowledge of this. Most likely wants to know it but afraid to.
It is much much bigger than them ... and that scares them away.
If OP is asking if anyone reaches a "spiritual existence" in the context of finding peace and harmony ...... then I would say yes...... Really great sex is one of the few peaceful moments I have experienced over the years. Originally Posted by FunMondaySo...you DO actually get it FM. That's awesome.
Yes. This is actually part of my field of study and this is exactly what happens. The examples in first post are all manipulative killers that couldn't give a rat's ass about spirituality except for using it as a way to manipulate their followers...ending in mass deaths. On top of that, they were all sociopaths who probably can't even understand the concept of their own spirituality. Originally Posted by B ThreeYes, there are those who become disarranged with what spirituality is all about.

It is a particular problem when the individual identifies with the energy moving through him, thinks he is as great as the energy itself.
The ultimate example is the lunatic who thinks he is God, or Jesus Christ.
All in all I've had some very amazing experiences with clients whereas, even though they don't realize it is a spiritual experience, it actually is ... at least for me !
