If you don't have a trickle charger , get one. I just replaced my battery after 5 yrs on the original. My last bike the original lasted 4 yrs and was still good 5 yrs later when sold. Batteries plus has a 2 yr warranty on theirs.

If I'm not going to be riding for more than a couple days it gets hooked up to the trickle charger.

With all the electronics on newer bikes there is always a draw on the battery.
