Most cubans who get to america end up republican because the republicans speak their love language,"Give me money. Now." Democrats probably sound closer to what they were trying to leave in terms of philosophy. They escaped from Communism and generally do not have the ability to grasp the nuance between a failing state dictatorship and a democracy that strives to help everyone equally. They probably had it up to here with cuba's version of equality.

But if you're a recently arrived stripper, this is kind of like voting with your pocketbook, except you can't vote yet. I just got off the phone with a Cuban ex-stripper, one who's applied for asylum and whose chances of being accepted are better if Biden's elected. She said that all Cuban "dollar" stores, the only places where people are able to buy things like shampoo and tooth paste, are now only accepting government cards. You can't buy anything in these stores with Cuban pesos or CUC's. Historically the stores have only accepted foreign money.
The cards are a change from a few months ago when they accepted cash too. Relatives working outside the country can log onto a web site and add money to the cards. If your relatives live in Europe, there's no problem. If they live in the U.S., then she says because of Trump's sanctions they aren't able to load money onto the cards. So she can't send money to her Mom and her Mom can't buy toiletries and decent quality food.
I quiz her a little closer and she says it's the Cuban government's fault too, not just Trump's. They didn't have to stop accepting cash dollars in their stores.
After she gets her green card, assuming she does, it will probably be all the Cuban government's fault and she'll vote Republican.
