If you put the little red book down, you might be able to go back and realize I was talking about Republican spending too.

Only reason it's a recent topic is because historically they talked a good game about fiscal responsibility.

And when national debt goes up, gdp goes down, and jobs / buying power with it.

Nothing in this reply is true. Taxation and spending does not drive down GDP. Falling GDP does not cause inflation. In fact, rising GDP causes inflation. This is nothing but a series of right wing talking points with no basis in actual economics. Government spending is, in fact good. It’s only possible with taxation. Funny how no one seems to have complaints about the government spending when the Republicans hold the purse strings. Originally Posted by El-mo

and raising the corp tax again doesnt affect gnp?
