It's probably been at least 30 years or so since I've listened to Rush Limbaugh so I obviously can't remember an exact statement that made me laugh. He was an extreme right-wing Conservative who made a very nice living appealing to those with similar viewpoints.
Here are some of his statements, many of which made me laugh as I read them:

In saying that she believed the women making accusations of sexual harassment, she did not call him a rapist though one or two women in their accusations, that Harris said she believed, called him a sexual predator.
Then there where all those Democrats like Bill and Hillary and Biden who at one time advocated harsh penalties for violent predators which of course the far left heard the "dog whistle" of Black males.
I'm sure Rush did regret some of the things he said over the years and even apologized for a few of them but when one is attacked for their political views, day in and day out, called every vile name in the book, some times you have the tendency to "give back what you are getting". Doesn't excuse those things but it does put them in context and perspective.
Sure Rush made a lot of money but there can be no doubt at all that he sincerely believed in the Conservative values he spoke off and since many on the left consider any and all Conservative values racist..............
