I worked with a woman who had her doctorate in Education. Nobody called her Doctor. Its fairly recognized those Doctorates are the easiest to achieve. A buddy from HS and college worked his butt off and was accepted into medical school. His wife had a 3.5 gpa. He said that she was an Education major and her homework literally consisted of middle and high school level work because that was what she was going to teach.I have known several people who have their doctorates. None of them asked to be addressed as "Doctor" and the only times people did use the term was in an academic environment.
