Legal-Illegal Math explained

Also, the main problem many (including lots of Hispanic natives plus naturalized citizens of this country from many international origins) have with illegal aliens is that they are ILLEGAL. Get it? 'Illegal' means 'committed a crime.' Originally Posted by Gladman

]Just a note. Nowhere does the word illegal include the word Hispanic. Originally Posted by shooter1a

Eddie, check out Tom Lehrer's comments on Sen. George Murphy 40 years ago.
"Should americans pick crops? george says "no,
'cause no one but a mexican would stoop so low."
And after all, even in egypt, the pharaohs
Had to import
Hebrew braceros."

Illegals are indeed a matter of where you are and who is considered a threat to your job.

Here in San Antonio when we refer to illegals we are generally refering to hispanics but in Main it could be French Canadians and surly on the Cote de Aziur they are worried about the Italians or Spanards.

Growing up in West Texas at 12 years old I was responsible on my uncles farm to work with the braceros picking cotton. I was not hard enough and never learned to be, I would pick some ladies share for her if she complained of being sick or needing to feed her child. I lost the toung before I entered high school. It was considered low class to speak Spanish in the 50's. My grandmother broke me of speaking anything but Texan. I love her for many things but her insistance that I speak only english (read Texan) was not one of them. Damn I have a Pimsleur Spanish disk in my computer as I type. I love that beautiful sound of good Spanish well spoken. Anyone listen to the beautiful Athena speaking in her native toung? She speaks Spanish like it should be spoken, with exciting rolling rrrr's and a beautiful lisp.

Today my French is better than my Spanish as you may get from my Signature.
