Yep, he is screwing himself by not getting premium access. And, as mentioned, if he doesn't have p411, he is again doing himself a HUGE disservice. Ladies post ads there along with prices.

This weekend I happened to end up with a little extra in my pocket and decided to treat myself. But, even looking for a treat, I am still going to look at the specials the ladies have on. That is just how I shop for ANYTHING. So I begin my search for an escort who is having a special for the weekend.


And, I know and understand the sites reasons etc, for not allowing you to post the price in your ad. But that doesn’t mean you can’t take a minute and tell us where to look and then to actually have the special price there. Originally Posted by Go4it

Go4it is simply restating what many have said before. If a lady posts an ad stating "special", then make the special easy to find. Granted, without BCD it's hard to see the rates. That doesn't mean you can't provide a link to P411 or a website showing the "advertised specials." Of course that would take some time and effort.

Calling, PM'ing or emailing for special rates isn't the most direct path to finding the information he's looking for. I can cite a dozen examples of ads in the last day, promoting a "special" yet there are no links. Or a quick trip to the showcase only shows the line "THIS PROVIDER IS NOT OFFERING ANY CURRENT SPECIALS." Hmmmm....

Go4it never said the price must be in the ad. His gripe, as I see it, was that the ladies in many cases didn't bother to take the timeto update their showcase or to provide an informational link.

Many ladies are great about providing all the information necessary in one or two clicks. A big thanks to all of you. Then again, many others are not quite as diligent.

I think the reason his post rubbed a lot of people the wrong way is that many of the ladies he listed DID post their info in the prescribed manner. He just couldn't see it.

There were at least a few, however, that went the "call for specials" route. I agree with you and the OP there...that is annoying.

How many of our lurkers do not have PA? I think that there are a lot of people that can't see the specials. A simple link to the specials might help increase business. The man wanted to spend some money but didn't get to. Someone left some money on the table this weekend.

Go4it today I felt just like you feel in your thread. I was on my way to an appt and got stuck in airport traffice for a hour and forty five minutes. By the time I got to the ladies incall I was highly pissed. A hour and a half later she let me out the door and pattied me on the butt. So Dude calm down take some time and do your research and find one of these nice ladies and visit her. She will fix everything that has pissed you off.

Are the specials supposed to be posted somewhere other than under "Current Specials"? That's where it was when I took it out yesterday afternoon. Sorry you missed it....maybe I didn't post the change quick enough after posting my ad.... Sorry about that...if I post a special again....I'll make sure it's in the showcase before the ad goes up. Lesson learned....

I also have a serial visitor special....look under "Current Specials" in my showcase. The Labor Day Special was posted just under it.

Max, in your show case, no, specials should be in the specials area. But, if you have a website or other off the board location with your rates and specials, you could always add a link in your ad or sig

Ok...I thought so....and I would link to my website, but due to drama beyond my control, I've had to temporarily disable my website. However....my P411 page is still up and running. Only members can view that one though. Actually the showcases provides all the info necessary, IMO. Not sure I'll even put my site back up. Thanks for the clarification though. I thought I was missing something....which wouldn't be unusual! LOL

Information in the Showcase is not visible to those without Premium Access -- which includes, I imagine, a significant number of members as well as lurkers. Some of them don't have P411 either. The ladies are certainly free to ignore that segment of the market or insist that they pay for Premium Access and/or P411, but not all will. (It is, after all, more effort and/or more cost to get information that used to be freely available to us, so I understand the original poster's frustration even though I might have expressed it more tactfully.) That's OK; it may not be a big enough segment of the market to make it worth the ladies' efforts to figure out a better way to reach that group.

But this thread also illustrates what I consider to be a design flaw of ECCIE (shared by ASPD for that matter) that exacerbates the problem. It is not readily evident to a casual reader that there is more information available, but only to those who pay (or write reviews) for access. That's discussed from time to time and may be included in a stickied post somewhere, but casual readers often do not run across those discussions. Those fields simply don't show up on our screens. I had no idea that rate and specials information was included in Showcases until I recently (and temporarily) got Premium Access. Admittedly I'm not the sharpest knife in the drawer, but I bet I'm not the only member who wasn't aware of that. The same thing affects the ROS section of reviews. How many new members post reviews without anything in the comments section because they don't even realize that other reviews include that information??

In the escort profiles on TER, on the other hand, all the relevant fields are listed, but with the contents of some fields hidden behind a little label that says "VIP only." I think Horndogs puts up a label "Classified Information" in the review template to help casual readers figure out that there is hidden information available.

ECCIE's lack of something like that isn't a serious design flaw, and it has others good things other boards don't. But this does make Go4it's not knowing about rates and specials in the Showcases a bit more understandable. To me, at least.

Good point. I will inquire if its possible to change the showcases to be more like P411 or TRr as you illistrated in that all fields are shown but it prompts you to log in to see the actual info. That would at least let the none PA members know more info is out there

The field name would show but all a non-PA member would see is something like "Upgrade to PA membership to see all the details" That would at least let non-PA members or lurkers know that a specials field or ROS, etc even exists. Right now they have no way of even knowing it exists unless they read about it somewhere. If we can at least let people know these things exist, it will be a move in the right direction.

As to posting your specials off ECCIE, that is a tough one. There are limits right now. Prehaps by continuing the discussion, more ideas will come forth. Perhaps if you listed PMing as an option to get info on specials it would help?
