You're 4 hours ahead of us.
We got in two hours ago and the gals told me to stay out of the kitchen.
So I'm out in the barn getting the four legers tucked in....

All through the barn, not a creature was stirring, the stirrups were hung in the tack room with care, the critters were nestled all snug in their stalls, with visions of the new salt lick dancing in their heads...

We were out of town last few days, so this year the neighbor guy laid out the temporary reindeer landing runway on his place, to the entertainment of the locals, who now want to know if there will be a runway competition in future years.

Ok then.

Recipes?
They already have the deviled eggs done (to get the stoves warmed up).
Three trays. They add additional red and green sparkly stuff to tops.
Also why I was tossed from the kitchen.

They are baking breads and cakes now. Brisket will simmer overnight in the big stove (omg not bbq'd? sigh). Huge ham and also a turkey will get started at 1st coffee.

Other Stuff:
Garlic Prawns
Marinate in very small amount of Olive Oil (real stuff) with salt and pepper 1/4 hr
Then sear in a flat pan on high heat with a bit more olive oil, like barely a minute, flip to sear 2nd side another min.
Heat down to heavy simmer add chopped garlic and stir/toss.
Add white wine and shuffle the pan (think popcorn shuffle)
Once wine has been absorbed/evaporated, heat down to low simmer, add butter and lemon juice, stir/toss/shuffle.
Toss to the serving plate (none to the dogs), and the xmas touch is shredded parsley sprinkled over that.
Note that this is a fast cook item. Prawns overcooked will be ruined.

Yep,I have an aunt & Uncle.. they are diabetic so, they expect no desserts.Told me this a dozen times. I had to remind her not everyone is diabetic.
