There’s much overt anger because this man believes in god and that belief is reflected in his policy positions. If this represents the majority of thinking in his district, he is doing his job well. A representative from Seattle or San Francisco would have different values because they represent different people. This is how the system is supposed to work. Originally Posted by ICantFindMySocks

People go 'herp derp praise jesus!'. That's fine. Praise your god however you wish.
When your 'herp derp praise jesus!' starts to seep in to government by means of your own policies, then that's the problem.
Separation of the church and state is one of the foundations that the government was founded on. There is no place for a country to be governed by cherry picked, ignorantly interpenetrated mythological stories.
If you need a book to tell you the difference between good and evil, you are not only a stupid person, but a bad person. But then again, we are talking about a puppet for a party who invents their own rules anyway, so no matter what I have to say on the matter will fall unto deaf ears. Originally Posted by onawbtngr546

You can have what your cult is pushingNo cult. I don't hang on the every word of a con man and believe all the lies he tells like the Cult 45 folk do. Sticking up for the rights of transgenders folks is not against the 1st Amendment, but trying to impose your religious beliefs on others through legislation is.

... One o' me bludger-mates in the political forumA good fellow??? Mike Johnson is just another treasonist traitor that tried to overturn the 2020 election. A complete extremist maga asshole. Just because he's not a blubbering idiot like other maga assholes don't make him a good fellow. Shame on the republican party for putting a treasonist traitor as speaker. Shows no morals and no regard for the rule of law or the constitution. Like any and all things maga,a total shitshow and an utter fuck disgrace.
- who surely seems to dis-like Conservatives greatly -
has stated that Mike Johnson is a friend of his
and a good fellow.
... Let's give the new Speaker a chance before
we decide to piss on him... Hmmmm?
