The state of Colorado says: fuck trump

... You're forgetting of the legal challenges to this.

If Trump - or the Republican gets more votes - then Biden
or whomever WON'T get the 10 electorial votes.

And of course it takes BOTH democrats AND Republicans
to ensure the government there runs smoothly.

The Republicans can S-L-O-W down this process.
I don't believe that tryin' to disenfranchise the Republican
voters in the state there is gonna work.
The legal backlash will be STRONG. ...

But it all might surely be much a-do about nothing - let's see
how long the stay lasts.

And what the REAL Supreme Count has to say about this.

So, what part of an attempted insurrection did Trump not have a hand in? It was his words that riled all those people to Washington on J6th. How does he not fall prey to the anti-traitor amendment?

If done constitutionality there are no leagle challenges.
There is no need for due process of any sort, it is a formality, just the same if he was not 35 years old or a was a naturalized citizen.
It was created and used after the Civil War to keep former traitors from holding office in the very nation they traded against.
They disqualified and removed 14 or so sitting congressmen and senators all former rebels, most of high rank in the confederate army in the late 1860s using it.
And that is without any of them being convicted of any crime!
And if you recall in that war the rebels believed that the war had a great deal to do with states rights.
So in that reguard Colorado should have every right to protect itself from trump!
So your really reading this wrong, and now it is being said that 15 more states want to follow Colorado lead!
Good!
Will it end up in the SC?
Probably but it shouldnt?

So therfore the dictator trump will have very little use for a Supreme Court!
Them annoyingly ruling against his every whim!
A fact I'm sure is not lost to the Supreme Court!
And Gorsuch " a trump appointee" makde a ruling in 2012 that a state has the right to do exactly what Colorado just did.
Disqualify a canadate that dosent meet the basic standards!
Seems to me that orange Jesus is screwed!
... Hey mate - you DO understand that a number of "traitors"
from the Civil War went on to hold public office.
A number of blokes from the Confederacy, yes?

So much for that.

And you are aware that a few states went and BLOCKED Abraham LINCOLN
from the Presidential ballot.

Reckon you've never heard of "due process" - rather obvious
the Democrat-appointed Colorado Supreme Court hasn't either.

So much for that?
Then name them!
Give us the names of rebels that held office after 1868?
I'm not talking about those already mentioned that were voted into office and then removed after the 14th amendment was ratified!
Name one that was elected after that?

And as I already mentioned it's a formality and due process is not necessary!
And no, Lincoln was not blocked from the ballot in any state in 1860.

Bottom line: if Section 3 of the 14th Amendment to the U.S. Constitution means anything, then trump is fucked. If his sham, illegitimate SCOTUS covers his ass and denies the 14th Amendment, then the entire concept of American democracy is fucked.

I'd much rather trump get fucked than our democracy.

Sure, there are some good Republicans, and there are certainly some traitorous Democrats, but the ratio of good to bad in the GOP is far higher than the other. The simple fact that they are challenging the call of the 14th, that Trump had no comment on if he would or would not abuse his power... Democracy is fucked. And if we just try to give them a light punishment, they will do nothing but kick and scream and make a scene while throwing state secrets all the way over to Russia and China just to spite the people who remain in charge
You still don't understand. If trump is disqualified, voters can write him in all they want. Those votes won't count. Their "declared choice" isn't eligible to run for POTUS in the state of Colorado. It would be like writing in Mickey Mouse or Frank Zappa. Not qualified. Originally Posted by tommy156

Looks like the states are pushing this forward before the 7th.

Two weeks from now, we'll know if the United States is going to become a dictatorship or not! Can't wait to find out!

Except the Colorado case was brought forward entirely by Republicans. LOL! Jesus titty-fucking Christ, if Republicans couldn't get away with lying to their voters, they wouldn't even have a political party.

I'm also guessing the "do your own research" crowd won't look into this one little bit.
