I feel like this major site concern belongs here. Doesn't fit anywhere else

The nazi swastika is a symbol for genocide. Some here find it funny.
The burning cross images used for centuries is also offensive and has no place here...

It is my hope that staff not allow these images going forward. Originally Posted by winn dixie

As I stated, everyone can see those symbols in history books and documentaries. To censor them is to censor history. I want all Americans to be exposed to all aspects of history, even if it means some of them will draw absurd conclusions (as you did over the Civil War).

Perhaps our staff would like to weigh in, since it's obvious we disagree where the line between free speech and hate speech exists.

Those lines move from year to year in this country, including other taboos that are forbidden here but are also part of history past and present,

Should pictures of swastikas and burning crosses also be banned from the far-left's CRT seminars and textbooks?

Be consistent.

That's not the topic here, LL. We're talking about ECCIE.

Be relevant.

I cannot believe ANYONE would be supportive of allowing these images on this site. Many sites don't allow them.
If you put up a burning cross or a swastika in someone's yard that's a hate crime.
These 2 images being posted here could also get eccie labeled as a hate site.
Good gawg what kinda folks are supportive of these symbols? Very troubling. Originally Posted by winn dixie

If the shoe fits, yes. If you're offended by that but defend burning crosses and swastikas then the shoe fits.

BTW - I only call Twitler a fascist. Some of his white supremacist pals, on the other hand... Originally Posted by Yssup Rider

Censoring symbols is silly. What's next - will you ask the mods to ban images of MAGA hats? How about the antifa flag? If something offends me but not you, should it be banned?

Be logical.

Off topic again. Thread is about burning crosses and swastika images.
Not comparison rhetoric
These images represent true evil and genocide. Everyone should agree they're not acceptable Originally Posted by winn dixie

Totally off topic. What aboutism.

Trump is a public figure and subject to criticism without impunity under the constitution you worship. Posting hate symbols aren't about a person, but animed at entire ethnicities.

Like calling Biden a dementia patient. That's OK. Call a fellow poster a dementia patient and it's VERBOTEN.

Got it?

Have to ditch the green frog emoji too, as it's somehow considered racist in this work-world-order.

Should he ditch his avatar? Do you find that offensive too?

The swastika and its variants are banned in Germany and other countries.
Symbols known to fall under the law are: the swastika as a symbol of the Nazi Party, prohibited in all variants, including mirrored, inverted etc. (exceptions are only applied to swastikas used as religious symbols in Hindu, Buddhist, and Jain temples)
