Opinion - Trump is correct on Ukraine and right to put Zelensky on the spot

He was supposed to sign a mineral deal until Trump and JV fucked it up. And now our allies aren't letting our subs refuel.

Guess Trump and JV should apologize Originally Posted by HDGristle

And congrats on sniffing out the breadcrumb. If you're capable of that, then you're capable of seeing how rude Trump and JV were to a guest

... Zelenskyy is about to roll right over.
Beg President Trump and The US for forgiveness.
Agree to the terms for peace.

Selling them down the river, defined as giving away enough to build a house for every homeless family in America.

The OP's aid #'s aren't even right

The reality is tha vast majority of aid given to Ukraine has been in the form of military hardware, equipment and ammo which which was old stock, or money to purchase old stock munitions or new production of old style munitionsfrom other countries. Which we got cleared off our books and Congress got to authorize the replacement of.

Congressional Republicans would never have authorized or helped appropriate those dollars for the domestic homeless.

Zelensky has been fending off the Russians with decades old hand-me-downs that would have cost us money to properly dispose of that also wouldn't have even spent on domestic homeless.

What was Trump gonna do with those cluster munitions? Fix the homelessness problem in America by calling then illegal protestors?

He and Musk canceled contracts to help feed starving people. They don't even support subsidized school lunches let alone building houses to eliminate homelessness.

Zelensky is fighting for survival. Trump isn't. And it's Zelensky's prerogative to push for security guarantees, while Trump's actively kneecapping Ukraine, our ally, while emboldening and aiding the aggressor, Russia. Who STARTED this war.

More broken window fallacy.

Not really. There are other costs to us, security and economic, in letting Russia run roughshod over Ukraine.

Not to mention obligations we're still on the hook for regarding treaties and agreements the Russians broke.

If we just told them to invade, toss a few missiles at some infrastructure and then leave so we could sweep in foe the rebuilding contract, then I'd agree a broken window fallacy was in play.

You're not looking at the full slate of benefits
