Fully arming Ukraine is the only real solution. Allow them to start pushing Russians back to their border and peace might actually occur. Originally Posted by 1blackman1

The level of stupid in MAGA is astounding and is only exceeded by their gullibility. Originally Posted by 1blackman1

The US does not want to be the world's policeman either.

Unfortunately there are no other policeman capable of doing what the US can do.

Oddly enough if China would step up and help to resolve some conflicts, the world might be better off.

I’ll say this as simply as possible.

If Ukrainians are willing to all die to remain free, I stand with them.

I understand that you are a dove and care for the Ukrainians’ lives to the extend you’d have them roll over and sing the Russian national anthem, but If Russian desperation to keep Crimea results in them using a tactical nuke in Ukraine (I have serious doubts as to that actually happening considering the overall cost to them by taking such an action), then I suspect the world will ostracize Russia in a way they have yet to feel.

The Wall Street Journal is reporting that Russia's willing to agree to a ceasefire if Ukraine cedes all of Donetsk and Luhansk, and if the world recognizes Russia's claim to the Donbas and Crimea. From there details become sketchy. Zaporizhzhia and Kherson might be divided up along the current lines of control or Ukraine might end up with all of the two oblasts. A third possibility is that there might be a land trade for some part of Zaporizhzhia or Kherson currently under Russia's control for land in Donetsk controlled by Ukraine.

FYI, the Donbas, being the Luhansk and Donetsk oblasts, historically has been closer culturally and linguistically to Russia than the rest of Ukraine. Russia currently controls all of Luhansk and most of Donetsk.

I'm only seeing this right now in the WSJ. Other media sources aren't reporting on it.

This could be good news.
