For me it isn't the providers' fault. The issue is my lack of activities. I usually only go for L0 or L1. Now the cost would be 3x what it used to be, for 1/3 the activities. Not worth the money or the hassle.
The salaries haven't increased for many hobbyists from the last 10 years. I can say that when I look at a few industries that I have friends in.
However, the Cost of Living has increased a lot - Rent/payments/groceries/etc.
Affordability has gone down for Hobbyists. So if I had $1000 to spend 10 years back, now its probably like 5-600.
Then comes the price increase by providers which is again related to their cost of living - which has increased. Even if the provider kept her price same, I can see her less due to the current affordability.
