NY Attorney General Wannabe Letitia James criminally charged

The all too familiar posters here act like this is something interesting.

Trump is behind all of it and demanded Bondi find reasons to indict her.

Trump committed multi million dollar fraud, Letitia James made a 18,000 dollar mistake on a mortgage form.

One was deliberate and the other was a mistake.

Trump is a vindictive little bitch boy who is using the power of the federal government to hurt the people he views as his enemies.

I’m saying this with a totally straight face. Originally Posted by txdot-guy

Except for the fact that Schiff, James, Comey and Cook are all being targeted and the justice department is actively looking for evidence of crimes where there are scant evidence that they actually exist.

Trump not only has made public statements excoriating Pam Bondi because she had not prosecuted and in response fired career prosecutors because they didn’t want to take these cases to court.

Totally selective and unjustified prosecution. Originally Posted by txdot-guy

in the case of trump's loan, banks did due diligence.

this case was selective, trump was not the only one inflating value of their properties. they're not going after them. no one went to court over this until trump.

Because that’s what we’re talking about. The chances that the Attorney General would falsify mortgage records on purpose to save $600 dollars a year is simply ludicrous.

Proving mortgage fraud is difficult because mistakes on paperwork are often made and proving that someone lied rather than making a mistake is extremely difficult.

Here is a good write up of the case. I recommend reading the entire article.

The Mortgage Fraud Case Against Letitia James, Explained

Is mortgage fraud often prosecuted?

No. Banks can call in loans and take civil actions when they uncover misrepresentations, but federal prosecutors rarely bother with criminal charges — especially when the purported ill gains are small. According to an interactive data analyzer for the United States Sentencing Commission, 38 people were sentenced in 2024 for federal mortgage fraud convictions, and most of those cases involved dollar amounts in excess of $550,000.

To convict Ms. James at trial, prosecutors would have to persuade a jury not only that her paperwork contained an error, but also that it was an intentional misrepresentation and not an inadvertent mistake

Earlier allegations of financial fraud by Ms. James related to other properties proved thinner upon closer inspection.

William J. Pulte, a Trump loyalist atop the Federal Housing Finance Agency, has been sifting financial records in search of a basis to make criminal referrals against Mr. Trump’s adversaries. On April 14, he made a referral against Ms. James based on apparent paperwork problems with two other properties, including accusing her of falsely saying she would be the primary resident of a different house in Norfolk that she bought with her niece in 2023.

But two weeks later, her lawyer, Abbe D. Lowell, marshaled a detailed defense. After scouring the paperwork from the 2023 purchase himself, he accused Mr. Pulte of having misleadingly cherry-picked one form that incorrectly said Ms. James would live there while omitting that two others accurately stated that her niece would be its primary resident.

Another way to know how bogus these charges are is the fact that both Leticia James and James Comey were indicted very closely together, Adam Schiff, John Brennan and Fani Willis are all being investigated.

Despite what Trump and the MAGA base believes the vast majority of Americans are not criminals. Especially those who are very successful in their professions.

But miraculously multiple investigations are taking place and flimsy indictments are being brought.

How can anyone believe that these are actually valid and credible cases?

But I guess that doesn’t matter to the MAGA supporters who are jizzing their underpants at the idea of getting revenge.

The number of people the Republican Congress subpoenaed to appear before Congress in September was shocking.

Leticia James is just a pebble.

All directed by Trump
