"Scientists" living from grant to grant rather than leaving academia for real jobs, combined with wide eyed sensationalist "journalists" bent on "changing the world," is a sure recipe for depict.
I got curious about all the hubbub about "pseudo-estrogen" in plastics and did a little reading on line. Certainly, if you look at the structure of a pthalate or BPA and squint really hard, you can see that they somewhat resemble a small part of the estrogen molecule.
The real "tell" is that all of the studies blaming all these "evil" chemicals for things like decreased distance from anus to scrotum (yes, that's one of the claims), completely fail to mention one thing. That is the fact that these "defects" seemed to increase about the same time women of child baring age all over the industrialized world started deliberatly taking daily doses of chemicals specifically designed to mimic. . . estrogen.
Meanwhile, more "inconvenient truth" about the AGW scam (as opposed to a "hoax" which isn't engineered specifically to steal money from others).
