Thank you gentlemen..

Seems like some of you are jumping all over these ladies because they posted this as a raffle and not an ad. I say Who cares, they are doing something for the holidays for some who are much less fortunate than yourselves.
Ladies, you should be applauded for your actions. I hope the good will you are showing others comes back to you 1000 fold. Its great to see you doing something for others in this economy and at this time of year.

Lets hope no one hear ever needs to be in that situation where you need the help. Its demoralizing and demeaning to have to ask for the help you so desperately need sometimes.

I think this says a lot to providers about maybe where they should or should not be advertising. Originally Posted by GP

I wish you only knew how much
effort Hanna used to go through
to make sure Miley's children
had a good Christmas after her
untimely passing.
Now her and Erica are trying to help
those in need.
Who the F--K cares if you saw it or
not. It's for the KIDS.

On thinking over, it does not matter that some of us did not see the ad in time. She sold out. My loss, and others. Its not her fault I do not read the ads.

However I have keep track of view count if I wrote one. And compared that count to others placed about the same time. And ones that I did before. I have stopped writing them. But it was fun!

edit: and I like the post above.

Is there a way to just donate???????

If I may speak for GP, I think all he was doing was questioning the effectiveness of placing ads in the Provider Ads section.

He is correct. But my poor wording made it difficult to know that unless someone read a few posts further. I applaud them for such a noble thing, but if Justapervert wants to interpret it another way, I can not prevent that.

not interpreting anything in any way... it was simply my viewpoint..
I'm cautious of charity scams so I try to give directly to those in need... You folks are the best !! Solid gesture, give with confidence!!

Peace homies!
Thanks again to some kindhearted gents, for your support. For those of you who knew of my dear friend Miley, you'd know why this holiday raffle was started. I wanted it to be fun too, for all who participated.

So many of you from the aspd showed your love almost 2 yrs ago to make sure her 5 kids left behind had a Christmas. She passed away on Dec 3rd, 2009. Whatever was left after 'santa' went shopping was given to the family in a card to help with funeral expenses, food, etc.

I took on the task last Christmas with my own funds but this year I asked Erica if she'd help me with my idea. She graciously agreed! I wanted to still help Miley's children but also shake down that 'Angel tree' that's always full of names with little ones in need. It was sad to see how full the tree was last year on Christmas eve. It's not just toys...it's the winter clothing, too.

I know...as a child, my name used to be on one of those trees. I always give back, always...all year long.

If you'd still like to donate, please send either myself or Erica a PM. If not, that's okay too. Better yet...please find one of those Angel Trees and pull a card or two off and fulfill the request on that card.

Happy Holidays!

Rooster...usually they have them set up in the Malls near the main entrances. I'm going out this weekend to scout out locations and will report back on 'where' I find some.
