Famous Brothel Back In Business In The French Quarter
Now Dallas, ya know I want to read the book!!!
Jazzmine and Dee
If they had used this book in history class it would have been a lot better.
tucson
you know I will Jazz!! lol
so true Tucson ..I love New orleans culture!
Dee do you suppose they would let us use a room at the bordello? That would be cool.
My history teacher taught us Louisiana History when I was in Junior High but he sure didn't mention any of this juicy history!!!! I have a close friend that grew up during the time of Carlos Marcello. It was definitely interesting to hear some of the stories.... I can't wait to read the book!!!!
Jazzmine I am about 2/3 way through the book and it is fantastic. Of coarse like every thing else in life at the time it was a bitch day to day. Looking back over the exciting things in my life at the time it was hard. Sleeping in a tent at 50 below zero for four winters. Fighting forest fires for two summers. Looking back it was hard at the time but just exciting now years later.
I never regret any hard times I go through either because it makes for a helluva story later!!! And I am definitely a better person because of it all!!!
YES that it is but at the time it was minute to minute and damn scary. So cold your skin stuck to things on one hand. Fighting fire was hot dangerous work with no sleep for days then walking out 10 miles with 100 lb packs. But like you say what a story to tell your grand children.
