The sex scene in Germany is still very good. I played there a few times last year. Totally legal, the girls are beautiful, and the prices are low. About $100 for an hour. I'm inclined to believe the illegality of it was more or less something that was looked over, so as long as the law was given an occasional freebie. I'm merely speculating here. Haven't read the laws of the land back then.

Saw an NBA comment earlier. I'd speculate that you'd probably have to be a 'fancy' black back then, one of the few with money, to get any play. Even then it was probably selective. Little to zero political correctness existed in those days.
