Valentine's Day ! ! !

$200 in flowers sent to my SO's office for Monday - she already got her gift on Sat from Cartier in North Park Mall..... flowers and cards for my daughters, my dogs get a big bone, my nanny gets a card and a gift card and 3 of my "friends" and I will grab chanpagne and dinner on Weds night and they will get Am Exp gift cards inside of their VDay card....

A waste of a "Holiday" perpetuated by Hallmark, retailers, florists and restaurants....IMHO

You know nearly every Valentine's Day I have been single, fighting with a boyfriend, and can't really remember having a good one except with a boyfriend who turned out to be cheating on me. And really, like Christmas, Valentine's Day is so overcommercialized. You should be romantic and love your partner every day of the year, not just on some day where they're selling heart-shaped boxes of candies and giving mushy cards.
