I think that's one of those questions we could ask a hundred providers and probably still not get answers that we trust. Truth be told though I have always wanted to be with a pregnant woman at least once so my curiosity about that would probably outweigh any other questions until after the fact.

That was kind of my assumption too. The average provider on ECCIE that's pregnant is probably just a normal woman with a normal boyfriend. No drama, babydaddys, bbfs, etc

That being said, I'd highly recommend any SO of a pregnant provider get a paternity test just to be 100%. Condoms break.
