My son loves "Blazing Saddles" and he just turned 20.

And for Pete's Sake he's seen all (3) Smokey and The Bandits. I watched the 1st one with my Dad!

I'm happy that I was raised well. If you ask the youth today to name a Clint Eastwood movie they pull Million Dollar Baby or Gran Torino out their ass. WTF, Even I'VE seen a Fistful of Dollars.

In honor of opening day, I'm gonna throw in Major League, Bull Durham and The Natural.

Movies today are trash. All flash no substance.
They even made a fucking sequel to a movie they remade from an old movie.
"wrath of the titans" WTF!?

I have to marvel at what kids call music. There are millionaires in videos riding around in limos with half-naked women. These guys can't read, write or play a single note. They didn't get through high school successfully. They are called recording artists. I also see alot of dancing in "music" videos. It's sure a lot easier to dance than learn to play a guitar or piano.
As for a must see movie. The originol uncut Blazing Saddles covers just about everything.

As for the Godfather, hell, I had already been married 3 years when that came out. Maybe the best movie ever made, except for Godfather 2.

usual suspects, pulp fiction and shawshank redemption in addition to all the ones listed on this thread

Also would add reservoir dogs and a clockwork orange to the list

+1 Original Star Wars trilogy... Great to watch and huge break through in filming. It set the bar in so many ways. One thing, not so much talked about it there was no digital animation. The space crafts used were mostly small scale models. Unbelievable for its time and is still noted as one of the best movie productions ever.
