Buying a car for your sb

I bet I'm not the only one who can say this: as crazy as the OP's outlay sounds at first, if I bothered to add up what I have spent on the hobby every month, particularly in my more active years, I bet a surprising number of us have laid out cash sufficient to put a few ladies in some nice automobiles over the years. We've just financed it instead of paying the cash upfront. He prefers one SB and I like the variety. C'est la vie.
Thanks I'll check it out. Definitely not a provider. She's way out of my league though lol. I consider myself a pretty experienced hobbyist and this girl is kicking my ass. Originally Posted by Doctorscotty

I'd say that a gal that can't afford transportation is not out of the league of a guy that can pay for it without losing much sleep over the expenditure. Her physical beauty will fade in a few years; his earning capacity won't.

If she is getting several thousand a month in service fees, I would tell her to buy her own car. If she leaves you over that, what have you lost? I don't know how much money you make but 30k is serious money for virtually everyone else in the world. I would venture to say that for about two thousand dollars you could have a night out for several hours with some of the most spectacular and beautiful women anywhere - just pay attention next time you go to Vegas for a medical convention.

What a bunch of sour pusses. Enjoy the process if you're going in that direction.

And there are plenty of great cars on craigslist. Look for the "for sale by owner" and you can get her a cute car (I'm sure that she wants something that is attractive) without the huge cash outlay.

She'll be all excited and you're be the hero. And these situations work out all of the time. You just hear about the bad ones because that makes good news.

You never heard about the wonderful times when these situations do work out.

Yes, I know. I'm in my Pollyanna mood this morning!

Sigh. Go ahead, hang the guy from the highest tree and tell him how much of a fuck up his thinking is. Might as well go with the throngs, right?

It's easier to follow the crowd.

Much more difficult to offer a differing viewpoint. And what I wrote is true. At least for me, it was. That's it.

No harm and no foul in my book, regardless of what I'm serving up this morning!

Hey, hon, I'm not telling him not to do it, just protect himself while doing so. She could have the best of intentions and, boom, it all blows up in one accident that may not even be her fault.

If he is ok with giving her $30k upfront, can find a way to do that without generating suspicion, and is ok with the possibility that they may part ways soon after the transaction is consummated, then bully for him. Some of us really are trying to find ways to get him what he wants (or rather, she wants), while minimizing a number of interesting risks this particular transaction will incur.
To the OP have fun but I do encourage whether it works out in your favor or fail to post a thread My only question is why 30grand. As others have stated you can find other vehicles that are just as reliable and cheaper. I suggest autotrader.com
No pussy is worth 30K!

While that might seem like a lot of money to you and I, it may be a "drop in the bucket" for many people including the OP. I'm trying to find a way to replace the vehicle for a person that is dear to my heart, so I'm interested in this thread as well.
