Mitt Romney wants a mandatory porn filter installed on every computer sold.

Doofus is giving BigLouse a run for troll hacks.

I'm sure she'll let us know if and when it happens. As of now, we can't be sure.

You know, Doofie was the kind of kid, who, after the big boys beat him up and took his lunch, would get up and yell at them, "Assholes! My mom made peanut butter! I didn't even want it! Losers! " and then think he won the fight.

Yo Mitt, get with the real technological world. That filter that parents can click on is on every computer running Windows or Mac OS. It's a system option they can go to called, believe it or not, "PARENTAL CONTROLS'. All a parent has to do is take a few minutes and set a few parameters. IT'S NOT ROCKET SCIENCE!

I hope each one of you votes. That is the only way you can make a difference. Those of you from new york city you can vote two or three times

I guess Romney isn't very tech savvy. It sounds like he wants it to come with a filter pre installed like Internet explorer is so parents can filter it from their kids with no extra effort. I guess you could over read into it and say he wants to filter the internet from government server houses and data mine... except he didn't say that he said only what I forementioned.

romney wants to censor something to go with his BAN something

then say he doesnt want to censor anything or ban anything

maybe some special interest group or the GOP can tell him where he stands and why ... he damn sure dont know.
I guess I'm a little dense. I thought that Romney wanted to have all computers have a filter installed so that parents can have the option of controlling what images their little angels are viewing. As Olivia mentioned, I didn't see anything in the whole quote (not the truncated one quoted by one poster to be unnamed) about any mandatory restrictions.

Question, aren't these filters already available? Most search engines have filters on them. If not, aren't they commercially available? What's the problem? Are they too expensive? Why does Romney think that parents can't raise their children without the government "mandating" protection from porn?

God knows kids see enough violence. Why are we always so worried about porn, and not as worried about violence?

I think parents can handle this without the help of the government. I think this is a pander to the religious right, who are much more comfortable with allowing children to see people getting shot, blown up or beat up, rather than two (or more) people who at least enjoy each other's company.
