Goomba's gets my vote. Hey Mokoa.....I remember the Lucas in the Old Windsor Park Mall. Used to grab a large slice and a soda everytime i went to the Mall. Damn good Pizza! Anybody remember the Shakeys Pizza parlor on Austin Highway? It was the place to go in the late sixties and early seventies. Shakeys had cold beer by the pitcher, great pizza, and a live jazz banjo band would be playing there most nights. It was great fun.

I know this is an old thread but just wanted to say that I finally tried Grimald's at La Contera and it is awesome! Super crust like you would find in New York. This is a pizza that you only want to put a few ingredients on; sauce is great, fresh ingredients, wood fired oven, etc

I am suprised I have not seen Little Italy on here. I'm always suprised that people don't know about it in the first place.
It is tucked behind the DQ on West ave. pass Blanco heading toward Nakoma. If you pass the fire station on the right you have missed the street. You can also pull thru the afore mentioned DQ.
Family owned, from NY and they have mastered the dough with good old Texas water. Callimari is great, Chic parm as well. If you have any kind of Italian food on your mind this is the place to try. Originally Posted by SAWP

Got a pizza at Miss Ellies off of Bitters and 281 and it was good. I want to try Dennis' option as pizza and cold beer works well for me and is close to home. Originally Posted by oden
