Sushi

I too agree with Rakhir assessment of this establishment. The sushi chef is none other than Godai himself. Try the deep fried fish skin. Originally Posted by Willing ToTry

Went by the place on Hildebrand to get the name, and a little sushi for me- it is Niki's Tokyo Inn. Not much has changed and it shows the wear and tear but that is some fresh fish!
As a former Sushi chef myself, I go to Koi Kawa on Broadway and Mon's Thai bistro on Broadway next to Central Market. Koi Kawa gets their fish delivered daily and has real King Crab meat and Ama Ebi. PLus there is a traditional Japanese menu as well. Mon's Thai Bistro also gets fish daily, moderate in price and they serve generous portions.
wow. so many replies. Samurai sushi is AWESOME. Godai (which is japanese for 5th place) is the number one ranked sushi place in SA by Zagat but Koi Kawa has the number one ranked atmosphere for sushis places. I go to samurai for lunch casual dinner, godai for great sushi and koi kawa for dates.

I'm a big fan of Sake Cafe at the corner of Blanco and Huebner. Their sushi is always fresh and well presented. Very friendly service.
