I'm leaving town to get away from the madness .. AND I'm leasing out my space to some F1 fans for the east coast. What I'm making in the four days they will be there will more than pay for my trip.

I like F1!

Maybe I should posted who's you're favorite driver/car in F1 as that topic seems to have hijacked my thread...

Unfortunately, it's also quite expensive to witness. Most tickets I've found are over $300 for Austin.
I've seen your P411 profile and I think you can afford it.

Wouldn't miss it for anything. Got a friend volunteering in hospitality and I'm taking him to the track at 6am so I get his parking space - he takes care of me in hospitality. Another friend runs pit crews and has lots of racer and pit crew friends that are going to take care of us as well. Good times to be had by all. May take a provider friend one day so she can see what it is all about. Taking a civie friend another day so that should be fun too.

Awesome that it is finally here.

Love the McClaren's and Button's my man. No one drives so smooth and is soooo cool and calm. Too bad they didn't do so well this year. RedBull is OK, but I usually root for the underdog. Can't help it. Love Ferrari and have become a bigger fan of Alonso and Vettle, can't deny their talent and skill, but demeanor doesn't do it for me. Rooting for Lotus and Kimi to kick some butt next year. Love those Finns, I'm 1/4 Finn myself.
i will not be changing my rates for formula one at all i think its kinda unfair for the men to have to pay more because there is an event in town .
Im going I bought 10 tickets sold 4 and made a tidy profit! The rest for friends and family. I can't wait, Huge F1 Fan Originally Posted by Rammixp

So I'm staying home and watching it on Speed, with my computer happily showing the live Timing and Scoring (if you watch F1, this is the stuff where one of the commentators, usually David Hobbs, say "Vettle goes purple in sector one!")

Price comparison. I was paying about $170 for prime seats for the weekend and about $150 a night (3 night minimum) for a hotel.

On topic, the ladies in Hungary used to double the rates starting Wednesday night. Germany seems to be a stable market and Canada kind of self-regulates given the influx of ladies. This is mostly from reports because after airfare I usually don't have enough money for more than one beer a night.
Massa is confirmed for next year the rumor is Vettel to Ferrari in 2014.

Damn, 2014 Silly Season has already started! At least the 2013 season didn't crank up until after Brazil. Sort of.

Senna! What a great driver and compassionate person. I will never forget that day in 94 when his car crashed in Imola.
I was wondering why the hotel prices were sky high!!! I love Austin so I will be coming anyways!! No raised rates here!
