I don't like the pop ups either. In a perfect world, I'd bitch to St. Christopher about it, but it really is a small thing. If the ECCIE administration gets rid of them-- great, I appreciate it. If not, I just trudge on. Last thing you want to do is punish third party individuals who have absolutely no control over this. Originally Posted by Cpalmson

You say if girls let Slixa know their clients are pissed of....well I hate to point out the obvious but you kind of seem like the only one really pissed off and in three pages of threads no one has really shared the same sentiment about this as you, not completely. Most have used terms like mildly annoying. and most agree that punishing the ladies is the wrong approach.

That being said.

I'll try to reason this out one more time. Why??? Because I feel strongly about this because as a provider myself and one of the few marketing companies for providers, we are limited in having great choices for getting our word out there. I know I say this all the time but it bares repeating. Remember this may be a hobby to you but it is a business to us. Ladies feed their kids, pay their bills, save for their kids colleges and more with the income this business produces for them.

Secondly this is just bullying at it's finest. Because you have not gotten your way you have now began to call people you know nothing about Trash. Bullies try to control what everyone else does based on their own wants. They do this with threats and name calling. When the real choice is to decide what they can do for themselves to alleviate their problem. But as I said I will try to reason one more time.

So let me ask you.....What will you want the providers to do when SLIXA no longer has the pop ups but ECCIE has sold them to someone else. My point here....Your expecting to have the wrong entity fix the problem.

Will you boycott all providers until they go on stike insisting that every company stop buying pop ups before ending the strike. ( not that it could ever be accomplished...there's too many that would cross the picket line....lol but just for the sake of this analogy let say it happens.
Now that would make some Pissed off Clients right??? No nookie anywhere to be had...until all pop up are gone from this world. LOL

Or should we continue to insist to ECCIE they not sell them. Since if they aren't available no one can buy them. But remember ECCIE will have to find a way to replace that valued income.

Which seems to be the better solution here?

Slixa is just one company using the pop ups right now. What about the others.

here's another analogy....

What your asking or insisting is like if every provider on here quit being here on ECCIE because ECCIE sells advertisement to Free sex sites. The very name Escort Client Info Exchange says this is about clients and providers, not free sex. You don't think us providers hate that they inundate this board with free sites to lure you the hobbyist away?
Well I assure it does piss us off but we also know the trade off. This is a place we and you use to fulfill our needs (us money) and desire(you companionship) and it is basically free so someone has to pay the bills to run the joint.

Suffice to say advertising is a necessary evil be it on TV, radio, in print boards or anywhere . We all feel angered, frustrated or whatever term you choose when our time is interrupted by advertisement but with out it we would miss out on alot of great stuff or the next Great thing!

BTW........................... ...

I spoke to Slixa about this issue. This is the jest of the convo..

They said they will see what she can do regarding the pops on Eccie and make a decision. They are paid in advance so even if they decide to discontinue, they are not sure they can get their money back. I told them probably not.
They also told me that the traffic they're getting from the pop is extremely targeted and high quality which serves the greater good. I agreed.

But they did
say this is the oddest thing they had ever experienced. but they would take it under serious consideration

ALSO....Slixa expressed to me that they value each and every hobbyist and his opinion but they are truly trying to help the provider get as many page views and in turn clients as possible and ECCIE sells pop ups because they are effective. You can't ask ladies to pay for advertising ( which they will in the near future) and not drive traffic to them.

I suppose this debate can wage on forever and a day but truly I think North your beating a dead horse. This is just commerce at it finest or worst depending on where your opinion may lie. But I do think you are above the name calling I have always seen you to be fair and decent in your post.

all the best

I need to apologize to the co-owner of Slixa as evidently her note to me was sincere, and I never would have excerpted a private message had I thought it on the level. Obviously I'm more used to false flattery, which always annoys me with its hollowness. I'm not afraid to admit my mistakes. Terribly sorry, Lee Ann.

Since Slixa obviously does pay attention to what is said on ECCIE about them, I'm sure they will evaluate the "feedback" they've received on this thread.

There was a time when you could not click anywhere in Eccie without getting the Slixa pop-up. 5-6 pop-ups or more before we left.

As a Provider how would you like us leaving 2 emails, 2 text messages and 2 voice mails everyday.....without booking????? Waste of time for both of us

Simply stated Marketing People don't know how to sell

The Slixa site is very professional, if they do a good job, the customers will come.
The pop-ups were a Bad decision, They made a mistake.

Allison, while the pics on Slixa may be more professional, the info was the same as Eccie
Looking at you on both, you are so beautiful I'm surprised you have to advertise at all.
Problem is your in "provider heaven" (Texas)

This is a very disheartening thread. It seems someone needs to get laid? Perhaps the holidays have you all stressed out darling? Take a deep breath and relax
I'm surprised by the level of annoyance a popup ad has stirred up. I find it slightly irritating but nothing to get so upset as to boycott the advertisers of the popup. I appreciate the "airing" of something that you find irritating and I hope they will consider your idea of letting paid members "opt" out of that sort of advertising. Seems like a logical solution.

Best to you all

It is truly the duty of the board (ECCIE) to solve this if they see it as a problem. Or the board member to find a solution..... but punishing Slixa's advertisers just doesn't seem to be right...
Please Hobbyist use the ladies on Slixa and support their efforts to market themselves in the best ways possible. As one of the few full blown marketing firms for this industry I always advocate ladies finding upscale, dignified places to advertise. I wish ECCIE was all any gal ever needed but it isn't. Nor is P411, Datecheck, Eros and any of the many others it takes telling your story as an advertiser in many places. Slixa is one of the good ones and is working hard for us gals.

I love Slixa! They really bring it!
I've heard extremely mixed opinions about Slixa. Personally I am happy with the advertising sites I already have. What's the appeal of Slixa? What's the disadvantage?

no one has really shared the same sentiment. Originally Posted by MagnificMedia

I'm not to the point where'd I'd go through the listings of Slixa and create an embargo list, but if I saw an emblem in a signature in an ad posting it would be hard not to associate the ad with the popups and move on to one of the many other ladies in the area. Obviously there'd be an exception for anyone I had seen before or heard good things from several people around here, but they probably don't need the advertising as much in the first place.

You clearly can advertise however you want to, though. I simply consider forcing popups on me after I've paid for access to Eccie disrespectful of them, and it leaves a bad taste in my mouth for anyone associated.

Understand that we, the men, aren't the customer of Slixa ... so they don't really care what we think. If their customers are supporting their tactics, though, things aren't going to change.

I am listed on slixa for now to give it a try because it does look very professional, looks like it could work and now it is a free trial. I haven't gotten any inquiries or biz from it so far and if they started charging; I wouldn't be on it until it was worth my cost.

BUT, eccie is the ONLY site I have ever seen the slixa pop up on. As a matter of fact, eccie is the ONLY site I ever get ANY pop ups on. In my opinion, eccie is the one to blame because I know I've got my pop up blocker on and for a while it worked but now they have started back up again.
