One of the other rumors going around is that he told a caller to go fuck himself after the caller insulted Greg's friend Chris Kyle, which resulted in Greggo's suspension. Under those circumstances, and the restraint he showed in not actually saying "fuck," I truly doubt that was the cause of a suspension. Besides, he was on the air for a few days after that.
The most suspicious moment I heard during his last week on the air was when he was making claims that a "rear admiral" had made some comments to him about "classified information" while at the Chris Kyle funeral. Richie clearly wasn't buying into it (that a naval officer would share classified info with some random guy at a funeral), and put Greggo under a fairly intense cross examination. Greggo clearly was getting hot under the collar, and ended it by saying, "Why don't you just come out and call me a liar." THAT, as I recall, was the last day that Greggo was on the air. And it kind of jibes with another theory making the rounds that Greggo is hooked again on forbidden topic and didn't actually go to the CK funeral, but instead was off doing forbidden topic stuff. It almost sounds like Greggo was making up some elaborate story in order to prove that he was there. Oddly, Greggo sent out a bunch of tweets on the day of the funeral describing this and that on his way to the funeral (military guards at attention, generic stuff like that), but he didn't post any pics. That's odd because Greggo posts a lot of pics on his twitter account.
All the foregoing said, forbidden topic is all I can think of. And I think that's a shame. For the record, although he's completely unorthodox, I think the shows that Greggo has been associated with are better with him than without him. He's not for everybody, but I think he brings something worthwhile to the table and I wish him nothing but the best. Being a former P1-Day1, the guy has been a part of my life for a long time. As a result, he kind of means something to me. Corny, I know, but he does. I can connect things that have occurred in my life -- some good, some bad, some great, some absolutely horrible -- with the guy and his shows.
