I'm about to shell out nearly $300 for my insurance, monthly bill. I haven't received a dime of service from it in over two years, and before that I received no benefit from the service. I'd go see a doctor and get big bills for tests that said I was healthy. They wanted to keep testing, eventually I said no.
I hate paying this bill. I consider it a slow form of financial death that will probably kill me faster than smoking would. But I lack the courage to stop paying it. Can anyone inspire me?
I'm lucky, I'm healthy. Very grateful to be. Nevertheless, I object to the financial execution that health insurance is. It's a tool used to enslave us. Who doesn't know someone that works a shitty job just for health insurance? By the end of 2013, if I'm lucky, that's where I'll be; working a shit job so that mandated health expenses don't put me on the street. My provider, who I've stopped seeing (obvious reason$) gets Medicaid free.
It's not Obama's fault; I feel it's the overpaid executives AND those who live near them, are aware of their undeserved salaries, and benefit from it.
Somewhere on these very pages BC/BS money is banging whores with money I consider stolen from me.
