The sandbox and board rules state no derogatory ethnic/racial statements. Judaism is not a race, its a religion, and there are no such regulations on religions. I beg to disagree, CC. Jewish people are part of a distinct ethnic group and, many would argue, a nationality. My mother grew up in Europe... I don't think she ever was considered or considered herself British. Nor did any of her/my family.

Jewish people have been treated as an ethnic group since the Middle Ages. Next time you're in Washington, go by the Holocaust Museum. It's never been just about religion. Take a tour and see if you don't understand a little better.

There's no place for any of that here, but don't simplify this issue.

BTW -- Dallas Holocaust Museum was the nation's first, I believe. The founder is a survivor who used to give tours and tell his personal stories of Life in the ghetto and then in Auschwitz.

I don't think he was particularly religious when the war broke out. I think his eyes and nose were a little incongruent with the ones on the Nazis' charts.

But we both know that sadly, I do.
