Hey Yessup, these offices might not be what you would call "important" but we are coming into our own, (we got 1.2 million votes in the last Presidential election and that is saying a lot for a Party who put very little into advertising, compared to the 4 billion dollars between both R&D) as "the people" become tired of a government pilfering from its citizens and lining their own pockets, oh yes and might I not forget BIG CORPORATIONS have their hand in the strongbox also.

Now as to why you don't see a lot advertising by the Libertarian Party is, of course, in part, due to GREENBACKS, as they abide by their principles, and one of those principles are, to never be boughten off by BIG CORPORATIONS OR BIG PHARMA, or big anything for that matter, they would never take donations, in exchange for.........anything, their money comes from donations from people like myself, who believe in the principles of the Party and are tired of government sticking their noses into all aspect of our lives, so they might see where their next dollar can come from. For a little info on the Principles of The Libertarian Party, I have a link below, there definitely is something better than we now have

No, I don't find those positions to be in any way influential over state or national policy in this country; certainly not in the way your Librarian theologians preach day in and day out. if it wasn't for the Green Party, y'all would be the Hare Krishnas of America politics.

In fact, the way the so-called Libs on this board drone on and on about the same thing, then maybe that's how we should characterize you. Or else the Selfish Party.

Fact is, however, that it ain't a party at all. Just a mixer.

The problem is that by refusing to play the game and doing what it takes to get your candidates elected, your party can't actually do anything to enact the changes you believe are necessary.

It's all well and good to say you're sticking to your principles, but if that doesn't get your message out and doesn't win you elections, then that also isn't doing any good for the people you are trying to represent.

If Libertarians "play the game" and do "whatever it takes" to get elected, they are no longer Libertarians. They're just warmed over Democrats and Republicans, and they won't be any different when in office.

The game has to change. It's part of the problem.
