It has been a long time since I've had a pet for several reasons. This thread has me rethinking that decision. I have fond memories of 90# Jake, the yellow lab and sweet Lucy, the Golden Retriever who with Jake literally hogged the bed at night (even though there were expensive, comfortable cedar beds on the floor) and my ex-wife's huge cat Ivan!
It's about time to check out the rescue lab opportunities! Chocolate or black this time? Any suggestions or recommendations?

A little late to the party. Oh well. Couldn't get the feline to sit still for a pic, so had to go digging for my pet photo folder. Here's the king of the castle.
