The big American breweries continue to pump out their swill because that's what the majority of Americans want and consume. However, with the proliferation of craft breweries the US has gone from making zero good beers to arguably brewing the worlds best. This all occured within the last 20 years. Pretty awesome. I make my own beer and have done so for the past 20 yrs. Ice cold fizzy yellow stuff isnt beer - old mildew, coors light, etc. it has a resemblance to beer but ain't the real deal.
