Are BBBJs really safe?

its still safer than driving in rush hour traffic in the dallas metroplex
It has been proven that you can get oral herpes from genital herpes. Granted, statistically, it's usually only when someone is having a 'flare-up', but I mean, you would see that! There is a small chance you can still get it when they are not but it's slim. If you start getting cold sores and fever blisters then that's what you've got. I didn't know about the chlamydia and stuff. You can also get a yeast infection in your mouth/throat. Just found that out the other day. Of course, it's usually men from doing DATY on someone with a yeast infection that hasn't gotten to the point where it's obvious yet.

O by the way iam scared now.LOl
My concern is HSV2 or genital herpes which you can contract through oral sex if she has HSV1. God damn the herp scares the bejesus out of me. It can be spread without signs of an active outbreak and it stands to reason some on this forum have a history of herpes. BBBJ has its risk but so does daty. Originally Posted by Nurseguy76

You REALLY don't want to know how common the cold sore/fever blister virus is.
Herpes Simplex Virus (HSV) has a Type I and a Type II.

Everyone has Type I (Cold Sores, Fever Blisters)

Type II is genital herpes and is sexually transmitted. In theory it can be transmitted via oral sex, but the statistics are so low that it is considered uncommon.

Type I does not transform into Type II or vice versa.

Men do not get "yeast infections" (Candida) of the mouth via oral sex.

If a man gets "oral thrush," it is likely due to antibiotics, or a weakened immune system (HIV, cancer)

From the National Institutes of Health Library. HSV both types can be spread through oral secretions.
