Unfortunately on here, as in real life, a few loud voices that try to skirt the rules ruins it for all. The whole idea of moderating is to be neutral and make decisions not based on the person, but rather what's best for the site. But "tattling" on others is also a nice way that this board self-moderates.

With a board of this size, it's very difficult to catch every word and post. So having others do a RTM, when necessary, is very helpful.

By the way, would it surprise you Gemma if I told you that I have been banned on boards in the past (including ASPD) and have had a few points issued my way as well?

Oh yes. I can be more than a handful to handle, if I wish to be.

I don't see an issue with getting points. It's a learning tool and most of the time, when folks get a few points, they naturally learn how to navigate the board easier.

Best thing to do is to try to coexist on this board and learn how to circumvent getting the points in the first place, and keeping with your online personality, enjoy what Eccie has to offer without being someone who constantly causes hassles and issues.

Sorry, there are definitely ways for members to "self mod"....IMO "tattling" is definitely not one of them, unless it relates to a nuclear subject

And as far as the KC forum being large in size...we have 3 mods, right??? Not just one???

There is a very easy way to self moderate the board. Its very simple, if you dont like the content of a thread then do fucking read it. Its pretty simple, but no just like the overzelous parents that feel that they should have a tv show banned rather than simply turn the channel.
