I love all kinds of positions but i'll admit "woman on top" positions are my least favorite (they don't feel as good to me).

"doggie" style can shorten the canal and tighten the vaginal walls offering more feeling for the lady in question. Unlike missionary it is easier to "help out" and unlike cowgirl or "on top" the work isn't designated all on the lady. This position is not pleasant when the gentleman happens to be endowed with extreme length, however there is a alternate version "lazy doggy" that can accommodate better. I would not perceive a man's anatomy as pathetic. There are a variety of sizes. If he should be on the smaller side I might be inclined to see if he would like to learn to speak greek, or perhaps "the jack hammer" position. Where there is a will there is a way.
