I've been burned by the advance deposit requested method. I did my homework and researched the provider in question and she appeared to be above board.
I was setting up an appointment for 3 months in advance and she gives priority to clients who put down a deposit.
I sent her my 1.5 via green dot and we were set. A bit before she was to come to town she had to cancel/postpone and was a bit shaky on the details. We agreed that she would make it up to me on her next swing through town.
Since then, she's broken off communication even though her schedule had her coming through and I tried repeatedly to get her to schedule or refund.
I will not pay in advance again.
Harsh lesson learned I suppose.

FROM MY PERCEPTION IT HAS FAKE CREDIT CARD WRITTEN ALL OVER. I NORMALLY HAVE THEM SEND HALF OF THE MONEY, AND SEND PLANE TICKET FUNDS AS WELL. AT ANY POINT THEY CANE CANCEL THAT TICKET AND SAY IT WAS STOLEN. BUT THAT IS MY PERCEPTION IN HOW HE WOULD LIKE TO TRANSFER FUNDS.
